Payment options

Choose how to pay your tuition

Start with your university's current invoice and official payment portal. Then compare the amount that will actually reach your student account in Australian dollars.

Three common routes, different trade-offs

Availability depends on your country, currency and the options your university actually accepts. This page explains the choices; it does not take a payment or quote a live rate.

Bank transfer

Useful for large invoices and traceable through a bank reference. Allow for bank processing time, exchange-rate margin and possible intermediary deductions. Match the beneficiary and reference against the official university portal before sending.

Debit or credit card

Often faster to initiate, but the card issuer, payment processor or university may add charges. Check transaction limits and whether the final AUD credit covers the invoice.

Local-currency method

Some university-approved providers offer local rails such as Alipay or UPI in eligible markets. Compare their delivered AUD, settlement timing and receipt process with a bank or card quote.

Before you confirm

Make the payment easy to match

Use the exact student ID or application reference on your invoice. If a parent, relative or sponsor pays, keep evidence linking that payer to the student and ask the university which documents it requires.

After you send

Verify the credited amount

Keep the provider's confirmation and compare it with your university account or receipt. A sent amount is not proof that the full AUD invoice was credited; a shortfall may need a referenced top-up.
