Universities

Read your university's payment instructions first

Australian institutions set their own invoices, accepted channels, dates and reconciliation rules. Use this page as a checklist, then confirm each detail on your university's official portal.

What to check on every fee notice

Which charge is due?

An offer deposit, first teaching-period charge, later instalment and accommodation fee can be separate bills. Use the amount and due date shown on the specific notice.

Which reference belongs on it?

A payment may be delayed even when the funds arrive if the student ID, application number or invoice reference is missing or incorrect. Copy it from the current notice.

What confirms it was credited?

The sender's receipt shows money was sent. The university statement or official credit receipt shows what was allocated to your account in AUD.

Timing

Work back from the due date

Leave room for transfer settlement and the university's account matching, particularly before an offer or enrolment milestone.

Shortfall

Check the credited AUD

Currency conversion and intermediary fees can leave less than the invoiced amount. Trace the gap before making a referenced top-up.

Evidence

Keep both sides of the record

Save the provider confirmation, payer name, transaction reference and university receipt together for later enquiries.
